North Carolina House of Representatives, Stephen Ross , Congratulates Danielle Fields , Executive Director, and her team at Alamance County Community Services Agency. The agency was recently designated by NC Governor, Roy Cooper as the Community Action Agency to provide Community Services Block Grant funded services in Caswell, Person, and Rockingham counties starting July 1, 2024.

COMMUNITY SERVICE BLOCK GRANT

Self-Sufficiency Program

This program is designed to provide comprehensive services to eligible individuals and families to include employment and better employment, childcare, education assistance, budget management, limited transportation, housing, and food assistance.  The program also provides information about, and referrals to other service organizations in the community.

EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This program is designed to reduce the number of families or individuals who suffer from the lack of food in Alamance County. Households experiencing emergency situations qualify for emergency food assistance through EFAP. Households will receive emergency food which may include a three-day supply of non-perishable food items once every three months. Special dietary foods are available upon request.
