Our Programs
-
The Community Services Block Grant Self-Sufficiency Program is designed to provide comprehensive services to eligible individuals and families to include employment and better employment, childcare, education assistance, budget management, limited transportation, housing, and food assistance. The program also provides information about, and referrals to other service organizations in the community.

This Emergency Food Assistance Program (Food Pantry) is designed to reduce the number of families or individuals experiencing food insecurity in Alamance County. Households experiencing emergency situations qualify for food assistance through EFAP. Once every three months, households will receive emergency food, which may include a three-to-four-day supply of non-perishable food items. Special dietary foods may be available upon request. The food pantry currently serves Alamance County residents only.
“Community Action changes people’s lives, embodies spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.”
